VAK CHOIR MEMBERS
Welcome everyone! The Vak Choir is an open, supportive community of people genuinely excited to be exploring and sharing through sound. We encourage all of you to ask questions, make your needs known, and above all enjoy our sound explorations and community. At rehearsals please look for new faces, introduce yourself, answer questions, and help make new members feel welcome.
Meet our Choir Manager, Heather Normandale. Please be sure she has your email address for our master list of choir members. (By giving us your email you are giving us permission to publish to other choir members and support staff of the Vak Project.) For a complete list of email contacts to address any specific issues you may have, click here.
Please follow us on Twitter and “like” our page on Facebook. And then please share widely our own posts and your own updates about upcoming performances with your friends, family and followers.
One more thing: Use the Amazon box at the bottom of every page on this website whenever you shop at Amazon, and SF Choral gets a contribution at no cost to you. Check out other ways to help us when you shop and surf here.
REHEARSING AND PERFORMING
Summer ehearsals for Vak: Song of Becoming are July 7-September 15, typically Sundays 5:00-8pm at either the Paul Dresher space in Oakland or the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, with a few exceptions. On evenings when we will be working with choreographer Erika Shuch we have reserved an extra hour of rehearsal, making those sessions 5:00-9:00pm. For a detailed schedule, including Tech Rehearsal, Dress Rehearsal and Performance Times and dates and locations, click here.
Please come early enough to sign in, take care of business matters, and be in your seat and ready to sing by the stated time. For information about attendance expectations and how we make the most productive use of our time, click here.
