Vak: Films on Sound & Self
Sunday, September 22 — 2pm at the YBCA Screening Room
As part of the Sound and Self series, the YBCA will be featuring two films: "Touch the Sound" with Evelyn Glennie: A documentary which explores the connections among sound, rhythm, time, and the body by following percussionist Evelyn Glennie, who is nearly deaf. Also featured will be excepts from the 4 hour documentary, "Raga Unveiled," a sweeping look at the entire architectural brilliance of a musical system that gave birth to this most wonderful and profound musical art form.
